15.09.18 - 12:00 H

What once grew together now seems at risk of breaking apart again, as Europe faces an economic and political crisis. That is why HAMBACH! is asking artists from different countries to express their own opinions on Europe and democracy, with the intention of shedding light on our fears and hopes. Referring to the 1832 Hambacher Fest with its speeches, a host of different voices will be heard and the audience is invited to join in the subsequent discussions. Most of the performances were developed for the International Theatre Project „Europe Speaks Out!“ that premiered on June 6th 2018, at Schauspiel Stuttgart (künstlerische Gestaltung: Armin Petras, Projektleitung Internationales: Alina Aleshchenko und künstlerischer Direktor/stellvertretender Intendant: Klaus Dörr).

The contributions are presented in the respective national language with German and English surtitles.
